As with any e-commerce business, customers want to become acquainted with the business before purchasing products from an online store. My goal is to provide inquiring minds with background information about Miss Charlotte's Handmade Crafts and the person behind the scenes.

Miss Charlotte's Handmade Crafts first started as a hobby and slowly has turned into a home-based, e-commerce business for me. The name, Charlotte, is not my first name and the business was named after my feline. Her nickname is Miss Charlotte, and I thought this would make a good choice for a business name.

As previously mentioned, the business started as a hobby. I revived my passion for handcrafting leather bracelets and started selling them on Etsy and eBay in June 2007. After a year of successful selling on these websites, I decided it was time to invest in my own dot.com store with shopping cart capabilities. Thus, www.misscharlottes.com was born and launched May 2008.

My other hobbies include website design and graphic design. As time passed, I have tweaked my desktop publishing skills and added personalized party favors, candy wrappers, and labels to my product line. Although I have concentrated in designing products for occasions such as bridal showers, wedding receptions, and baby showers, I plan to add more party themes to my store in the future.
